Shipping Carriers & Methods

ThingHub.io primarily utilizes UPS to deliver hardware safely and reliably, offering Ground, 3-Day Select, 2nd Day Air, and Next Day Air options within the United States. Depending on cost and deployment location, alternative major carriers such as FedEx may be used.

• No PO Boxes: Due to carrier regulations and strict delivery guidelines, shipments cannot be delivered to PO Box addresses.
• Real-Time Tracking: Tracking details are sent automatically via email once an order departs our facility and remain accessible at any time under View Order Status in your customer account portal.
• International Routing: Worldwide logistics tiers are determined dynamically at checkout based on your specific destination.

Rates & Fulfillment Logistics

• Live Cost Calculation: Exact shipping charges are computed transparently in the online shopping cart prior to finalizing your checkout.
• Partial Domestic Shipments: To accelerate delivery times, domestic orders may arrive in multiple shipments if specific components are distributed across different fulfillment centers. If your organization requires a single, consolidated delivery, please contact us to coordinate prior to placing your order.
• Free Domestic Ground Shipping: Online orders totaling $500+ qualify for free ground shipping within the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii. Free shipping thresholds do not apply to international orders.
• International Shipments: To ensure uniform customs processing, all international orders are automatically held to ship complete.

Special Shipping Requests & Liability

Customers with unique logistics parameters should contact us before placing an order. To safeguard high-value industrial technology, we strongly recommend routing shipments exclusively to secure corporate or laboratory facilities.

• Ship via Your Carrier Account (Collect): If your logistics department prefers to route freight using your own corporate carrier account (UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.), please contact us before ordering to securely log your account number.
• Signature Requirement: For enhanced facility security, customers may request a signature requirement prior to scheduling a shipment; an additional carrier fee will apply.
• Address Accuracy: Please ensure all billing and shipping entries are 100% correct at the time of order placement. If an incorrect address is provided and results in a shipment being recalled or rerouted, the customer will be held liable for all subsequent carrier fees and logistics charges.

Optional Shipping Insurance Policy

By default, outbound shipments are not insured. Optional shipping insurance is available for an additional fee during online checkout, or it can be formally requested through your Account Manager for offline enterprise orders.

Coverage Parameters:

• Eligible Products: Shipping insurance is available for all hardware products, but strictly excludes services and software.
• Covered Events: The policy covers the direct replacement of items lost, stolen, or physically damaged during transit.

Insurance Explicitly Excludes:

• Expedited shipping costs.
• Standard carrier delivery delays.
• Incorrect shipping addresses provided by the purchaser.
• Hardware or product performance issues arising after the package has been accepted by the customer.

The Insurance Claims Process:

1. Report the Incident: In the event of transit loss, theft, or damage, you must contact us within 10 business days of the scheduled delivery date.
2. Submit Documentation: Customers must provide all necessary verification, including photographic proof of damage or official proof of loss.
3. Investigation & Resolution: The underlying carrier or insurer will conduct a formal investigation to confirm the claim. Upon official approval, ThingHub will immediately proceed with replacing the affected items.
4. Note: Cash or payment refunds are not provided under this insurance policy; remedies are limited strictly to hardware replacement.

If Shipping Insurance is Declined: The customer assumes full, unconditional responsibility for the shipment the moment it is transferred to the carrier. While ThingHub can file a courtesy claim on your behalf, we are not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged shipments.

International Orders, Restrictions & Compliance

Shipping Terms (FCA)

All international shipments are executed under FCA (Free Carrier) terms. ThingHub coordinates transportation to the shipping address specified on your order. Title and risk of loss transfer entirely to the purchaser the moment the freight is tendered to the first carrier at ThingHub’s facility. The purchaser maintains sole responsibility for independent shipment insurance, import clearance, and the payment of all local fees.

Import Fees & Duties

Shipping charges collected by ThingHub at checkout cover only the physical transit cost of delivering the product to your address. All additional fees dictated by local government regulations—including Value Added Tax (VAT), import fees, customs duties, and local brokerage charges—are the exclusive responsibility of the recipient.

Global Technology & Product Restrictions

Industrial communication hardware is strictly bound by regional frequencies and wireless regulations:

• Compliance Verification: Users must comply with all country and local regulations governing their specific hardware technology. For detailed alignment, refer to the latest GS1 Overview of UHF Frequency Allocations for RAIN RFID and consult your local regulatory authority.
• Authorized Destinations: Products will only be shipped to geographic locations where they are legally authorized for deployment. Customers requiring shipment to a non-compliant location must contact us to execute a mandatory Indemnity Letter prior to fulfillment.
• Embargoes & Exclusions: Specific hardware items are restricted to shipments within the United States and Canada, and are strictly excluded from shipment to sanctioned nations, including Russia and North Korea. Contact us directly to request our full global restriction list.
